Why programme discipline matters
A power station outage is the biggest single cost in any generator’s calendar. The fleet economics depend on the outage fitting inside its window and the plant returning to service on time. Scaffolding is rarely the critical path on a well-run outage — but it’s almost always the critical path on a badly-planned one.
We avoid that by committing to the scaffold programme early, resourcing firmly, and holding the line on handover dates. If the scaffold is promised for 0800 Tuesday, it’s ready for inspection at 0800 Tuesday. The mechanical team plans against that; any slip on our side cascades immediately into their labour cost.
Framework working
Most of our power generation scaffolding runs under framework arrangements. The advantage for the operator is that we already know the site, the safety rules, the permit format and the outage calendar. The advantage for us is that we can invest in the long-term relationship rather than pitching from cold each outage. If you’re running repeat outage work and you want a scaffold partner who already knows your fleet, that’s what we do.
Talk to us in the planning phase
For upcoming power station scaffolding work in or near the Milton Keynes region, get in touch as early as practical. We’ll sit in on outage planning, review the programme, and price the scaffold scope against a firm brief.
