Skilled & Certified Scaffolders

Domestic maintenance and repair work is the bread-and-butter of our smaller-scale scaffolding — gutter replacement, fascia and soffit work, pointing repairs, spot roofing, window replacement, and general façade repair. These jobs are typically 1-5 days on site for the tradesperson, which means the scaffold cycle is short and the mobilisation needs to be responsive. We supply maintenance and repair scaffolding across Milton Keynes and the surrounding region for builders, roofers, window installers, and homeowners arranging repairs.

Most maintenance scaffolds are small — three to four bays long, one to three lifts high, with eaves-level access and edge protection. The install is quick, the hire is short, and the price reflects that. We've tuned our quoting and mobilisation for this kind of work so homeowners and trades aren't paying commercial-scale overheads on a half-day scaffold job.

What we handle:

  • Short-hire scaffolds for 1-5 day trades
  • Fast mobilisation — typically within a week
  • Honest pricing for small jobs
  • Neat install, clean strip
  • No-surprises extension terms
  • Repeat working for local builders and roofers

When you need it

Typical scenarios where maintenance & repair scaffolding is the right call.

Gutter, fascia and soffit works

Eaves-level access for gutter replacement, fascia board renewal, soffit repair, and rainwater goods upgrades on domestic properties.

Spot roof repairs

Access for spot roof repairs — broken tile replacement, lead flashing repair, ridge and hip repointing, and small-area slate replacement.

Window and door replacement

Working platform for upper-floor window replacement, sash window restoration, and external door replacement where a ladder isn't safe.

Why small jobs deserve the same care

Small domestic repair scaffolds are sometimes the scaffolds that matter most to the homeowner — the rainwater goods that have been failing all winter, the pointing repair the insurer has asked for, the broken ridge tile that’s been annoying a family member for months. They’re not the big-ticket commercial jobs that fill our programme, but they’re the jobs where the quality of the service shows through.

We treat a one-chimney scaffold with the same care as a major commercial job. CISRS-carded scaffolder, proper handover, clean install, neat strip, and on time. That’s what the homeowner is paying for, and it’s the standard we hold ourselves to regardless of the scaffold’s value.

Working with local builders and roofers

Many of our maintenance jobs come through local builders and roofers who’ve worked with us before. The advantage to the trade is that we’re a known quantity — the quote lands quickly, the install happens on time, and we’re on the phone if the programme shifts. The advantage to us is the repeat work, which keeps the yard productive across the quieter weeks of the commercial calendar.

If you’re a local trade who doesn’t have a regular scaffold partner, get in touch. We can set up a standing arrangement with a price schedule for common job types so you can quote faster to your own customers.

Talk to us about the job

Most of our maintenance quotes start with a phone call or a few photos. We’ll ask what the trade is doing, where the access is needed, and when the job is scheduled — and usually we can get you a ballpark number within a day. For firm quotes we’ll come and walk the property, but for simple repeat-type work a phone quote is often enough to get started.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you mobilise?
Usually within a week of quote acceptance. For straightforward maintenance jobs where we can size the scaffold from photos or a site walk, we can often mobilise within 3-5 working days. Call us with your date and we'll check our diary.
What's the typical price for a small maintenance scaffold?
Depends on size and access, but domestic maintenance scaffolds are the most affordable end of our work. For a standard gutter or fascia-replacement scaffold on a semi-detached property, we'll quote a fixed price that includes erection, a standard hire period, and strip. No surprises.
How long is the standard hire period?
Standard hire is usually two to four weeks on maintenance jobs — enough time for the trade to complete and for us to schedule the strip. If the trade finishes faster we'll still strip on the agreed schedule; if they need longer, the hire extends at a weekly rate that's agreed up-front, not negotiated after.
Can you scaffold just one small area?
Yes. We'll scaffold exactly what's needed — one corner, one chimney, one gable — rather than the whole building. Smaller scaffolds are cheaper and faster to install, and there's no reason to scaffold the whole property for a single repair.
Do you work for homeowners or only builders?
Both. Some of our smaller jobs are direct with homeowners — typically arranging the scaffold alongside a repair quote from a trade. Others are through a builder or roofer who subs us in. Either way, we'll quote transparently and keep you informed through the job.
What happens if the trade needs longer than expected?
The scaffold stays up and the hire extends at the rate agreed in the quote. Most maintenance work runs within the quoted duration, but occasionally weather, material delays or scope changes push things out. We'll flex to what the job needs.
